In November 2020 Arizona voters approved recreational use of cannabis by a large margin at the voting polls.  This enabled dispensaries to begin selling cannabis in early 2021 to anyone over the age of 21.  Along with this legislation came some of the most generous homegrowing laws in the country. Individuals over the age of 21 can grow 6 plants (Maximum 12 per household with 2 adults over the age of 21).  There also is no longer a requirement of having to live over 25 miles from the closest dispensary or to have a marijuana license to do so.

Bad Ass Homegrow was constructed with a variety of different rooms with multiple growing environments.  The concept permits us to compare different equipment and growing strategies in a research based setting.
